COCKATOO COMMUNITY HOUSE

Eastern Dandenong Ranges Association was recently awarded the tender to deliver Neighbourhood House Services in Cockatoo commencing 1st July 2026. This is a natural extension of the work EDRA has been delivering across our region through business, tourism, arts and community development initiatives.

NEW VISITOR & INFORMATION MAP

Our 2026/27 Visitor Map launched late December 2025.


The Map features 35 businesses showcasing Attractions & Activities, Restaurants & Cafes, Village Shops, Accommodation and local Businesses in the Eastern Dandenong Ranges.


The Maps are available in print and digital format from participating businesses, selected Visitor Information Centres, local service stations local real estate offices.

BASE Launch & EDRA AGM

The BASE supports the sustainability of the Eastern Dandenong Ranges Association to deliver business, tourism and community services including advocacy, promotion, marketing, networking and projects for local businesses and community groups.


The BASE is managed by a Subcommittee of EDRA comprising members from EDRA, Hills Arts Alliance and The Emerald & District Lions Club.

We are thrilled to advise Lynne Trensky has been nominated to the forthcoming Tourism East Board  as the Industry Partner Member representing Cardinia Shire.


On May 26th, a Special General Meeting was held to adopt amendments to the Yarra Ranges Tourism constitution, including transitional arrangements to establish a new Board inclusive of

Effective from July 1, 2025, Lynne will support crucial initiatives such as reviewing the Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges Destination Management Plan to ensure Cardinia is well represented in the strategic objectives to grow the tourism region.

The Eastern Dandenong Ranges Association is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit local business & tourism group representing businesses operating in Avonsleigh, Beenak, Belgrave, Clematis, Cockatoo, Dewhurst, Emerald, Gembrook, Hoddles Creek, Kallista, Macclesfield, Menzies Creek, Monbulk, Mt Burnett, Nangana, Selby, Silvan, The Patch, Upper Beaconsfield & Yellingbo. 


There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us & how we can support your business with promotion, networking, collaboration and business skills. Membership with EDRA will extend the promotional reach of your business, and collaboratively, we showcase a bigger offering to consumers. EDRA advocates at a local, state & federal government level for better support, services and infrastructure to support businesses in the Eastern Dandenong Ranges. 


Annual Business membership is $150 + gst per annum from July 1 to June 30.

6 month membership is $75 + gst from Jan 1 to June 30.

EDRA 2025/26 COMMITTEE


 To meet the governance requirements of the Neighbourhood House Program and strengthen our organisational capacity, the EDRA Committee of Management has undertaken some changes. These changes ensure the Committee has the appropriate mix of skills, experience and governance oversight to effectively support the delivery of all the services EDRA delivers to its members and in the local community.

No. EDRA supports businesses operating in all sectors; tourism, hospitality, retail, professional & trade and everyone has equal exposure.

EDRA also offers free Community Group memberships to volunteer-run groups providing tourism experiences.

Do I have to come to meetings?

No, but all members are welcome to attend meetings at anytime.  Members are kept up to date on all of our activities through our Enews. We do however, encourage members to get involved in projects that support/align with their business goals.
